Day 01
Serengeti National Park
This is the moment you’ve been waiting for: your Tanzanian safari starts here. You have so much to look forward to and we’ll get your trip underway as soon as we give you an introduction to our team and explain what lies ahead.
Unesco World Heritage–listed Serengeti National Park will almost certainly be one of the highlights of your safari, and it’s the kind of place that very quickly becomes a favorite. That’s partly because of the wildlife: this is one of the best places anywhere to see lions, leopards and cheetahs. Although every big cat sighting is special, they’re only a part of the story here: there’s a good chance you’ll also see elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, buffaloes and spotted hyenas and much more. Many travelers’ love affair with the Serengeti is also because of its landscapes: expect vast savannah grasslands, acacia trees and pretty hill country.
Day 02
Central Serengeti National Park
There’s nowhere in Tanzania where you have a better chance of seeing big cats than in the Central Serengeti. You’ll also see lots of other animals as you explore the savannah grasslands and silhouetted acacia trees with us. This is the Serengeti’s heartland and it is the most popular area of the park, but with very good reason.
Day 03
Serengeti National Park
You’ll get to know the Serengeti and its colorful cast of characters even better with another day immersed in its wild beauty. Spend the morning tracing the movements of predators as the golden light reveals the rhythm of life on the plains. Later, explore different corners of the park—perhaps the hippo pools, acacia woodlands, or open savannahs where herds of wildebeest and zebras roam freely. As the day winds down, enjoy the tranquil sunset as it paints the horizon in orange and purple hues, a perfect close to another unforgettable day in the heart of the wild.
Day 04
Transfer by road
After breakfast, you’ll bid farewell to the vast plains of the Serengeti and begin your scenic road journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive takes about 5 to 6 hours, offering incredible views of the ever-changing landscapes—from open savannahs and scattered acacia trees to the lush highlands surrounding Ngorongoro. Along the way, you may spot wildlife and pass through local villages, giving you a glimpse of Tanzania’s vibrant culture. Arrive at your lodge near the crater rim in time to relax and enjoy the cool, misty air as you prepare for tomorrow’s descent into the Ngorongoro Crater.
Day 05
Ngorongoro Consarvation
Today you’ll descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day guided game drive. Often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife in a breathtaking natural amphitheater. As you explore its floor, you’ll have the chance to see lions, elephants, zebras, buffalo, and possibly even the elusive black rhino. The lush grasslands, shimmering soda lake, and forested walls create a stunning backdrop for photography and wildlife viewing. Midday, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater before continuing your adventure through this remarkable ecosystem. Return to your lodge in the late afternoon to relax and reflect on the day’s unforgettable experiences.
Day 06
Transfer to the Airport
This marks the end of your safari in Tanzania. We hope that you have enjoyed your trip and that you’re already planning your next safari.
